Removal procedure
1. Dismantle the engine assembly. follow the paragraph «Complete engine» in this section.
2. Remove drive disc assembly. See «Drive disk assembly» in this section.
3. Remove the oil pan assembly. See «Oil pan assembly» in this section.
4. Remove five bolts (1) securing the crankshaft rear oil seal housing to the rear of the cylinder block (2).
5. Using the lever pry points located on the edge of the crankshaft rear oil seal housing, separate the housing held by the RTV sealant.
6. Remove from cylinder block (2) rear seal housing (1) crankshaft.
Installation procedure
1. Install guide pins EN-46109 (1) in two holes on the cylinder block (2), designed for bolts of the crankshaft rear oil seal housing.
2. Apply a strip (1) RTV sealant 3 mm wide on the crankshaft rear oil seal housing.
Note: Do not allow engine oil to get on the interface between the cylinder block and the crankshaft rear oil seal housing.
3. Install on cylinder block (2) rear seal housing (1) crankshaft.
Note: A new crankshaft rear oil seal with housing also includes a part to protect the sealing surface. The protective piece should not be removed from the rear oil seal housing until installation is complete.
4. Remove the guide pins from the cylinder block.
5. Install on cylinder block (2) bolts (1) securing the crankshaft rear oil seal housing.
Tighten
Tighten the crankshaft rear oil seal housing bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in.).
6. Install the oil pan assembly. See «Oil pan assembly» in this section.
7. Install drive disc assembly. See «Drive disk assembly» in this section.
8. Install the engine assembly. follow the paragraph «Complete engine» in this section.
