Vehicle Identification Number
The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is located on the dashboard under the lower left corner of the windshield (see illustration). It consists of seventeen characters containing information about the manufacturer, vehicle type, configuration, production date and body number.

Vehicle Identification Plate
The plate contains: identification number (VIN), body type and modification, equipment, paint code and other information related to the vehicle. When ordering spare parts, it is necessary to provide these data for accurate identification of the vehicle and selection of appropriate spare parts.

Engine code
This code is stamped on the lower left side of the engine, above the starter (see illustration). In 3.8L engines, this code is also located on the right side of the block, behind the coolant pump.
Location of the identification number on the 3.1L V6 engine: A - engine code, B - identification number
Automatic transmission number
On the 3T40 automatic transmission, the identification number of the transmission and the vehicle number are stamped on the top of the rear part of the transmission.
Location of identification numbers on the 3T40 gearbox: A - vehicle identification number, B - gearbox identification number
Emission Control System Data Plate
The emission control system data plate is affixed to the left front suspension strut support. When checking the operation of the system components, refer to the data indicated on the plate.
