2. Remove the starter brace (see illustration).
16.2. Having unscrewed the nut (shown by arrow), remove the starter tensioner from the cylinder block
3. Raise the front of the vehicle and secure it securely on the stands.
4. Disconnect the wiring from the starter relay.
5. After unscrewing the two bolts and nuts securing the starter to the engine, remove the washers and gaskets (see illustration).
16.5. You can get to one of the starter mounting bolts from under the frame at the rear
6. Remove the starter from the engine.
7. The starter is installed in the reverse order.
