The headlight range adjuster A is equipped with an electric drive and allows you to smoothly change the headlight range in accordance with the vehicle load. This avoids blinding drivers of oncoming and passing vehicles. At the same time, correct headlight adjustment improves visibility for the driver.
The headlight range adjustment has four positions (0, 1, 2, 3) and is only possible when the low beam is on.
The regulator positions roughly correspond to the following loading conditions:
- 0 - one driver or driver and front seat passenger;
- 1 - all seats are occupied, trunk is empty;
- 2 - only the driver's seat is occupied, the trunk is fully loaded, operation with a trailer at maximum load on the towbar (for models with a towbar installed);
- 3 - all seats occupied, trunk fully loaded, operation with a trailer with a small load on the coupling device.
