Using a syringe or rubber bulb, pump out the working fluid from the tank.
Place a container under the tank to collect the remaining liquid.

Using pliers, squeeze the ends of the clamp that secures the filler line hose to the tank pipe and slide the clamp along the hose.

We remove the hose from the tank branch pipe.

Similarly, we remove the drain line hose from the other tank branch pipe.

Using a 10 mm head, unscrew the two nuts securing the tank to the wall of the battery shelf…

…and remove the tank.
We install the new tank in the reverse order.
It is important to note that..

…that a check valve is installed in the connection between the tank pipe and the drain line hose.
We move the valve to the corresponding branch pipe of the new tank.
If, when removing the tank, the valve remains in the hose hole..

…then we extract it with pliers with narrow jaws and install it in the tank pipe.
Filling the tank with working fluid that meets technical requirements (see Appendices), we bleed the power steering system (see Bleeding the power steering system).
