We pump out the working fluid from the tank with a syringe or rubber bulb.
We substitute a container under the tank to collect the remaining liquid.
Squeezing the ends of the clamp that secures the filling line hose to the tank nozzle with pliers, we slide the clamp along the hose.
Remove the hose from the tank pipe.
Similarly, remove the drain hose from the other pipe of the tank.
Using the "10" head, we unscrew the two nuts securing the tank to the wall of the battery shelf..
... and remove the tank.
Install the new tank in reverse order.
In doing so, attention must be paid to…
... that a check valve is installed in the connection between the tank pipe and the drain hose.
We rearrange the valve in the corresponding pipe of the new tank.
If, when dismantling the tank, the valve remains in the hole in the hose..
... then we extract it with pliers with narrow jaws, and install it in the tank pipe.
Filling the tank with a working fluid that meets the technical requirements (see Applications), pumping the hydraulic booster system (see Bleeding the power steering system).
