We pump out the fluid from the power steering pump reservoir. We remove the air filter housing and move it to the side together with the air duct (see Removal the air filter).
Remove the generator drive belt (see Replacing the alternator drive belt).

With the key "on 17", we unscrew the nozzle of the discharge line tube, holding the cap nut of the pump tube with the key "on 22" (for clarity, the cooling system hose has been removed)…

…and we move the discharge line tube away from the pump tube.
We close the holes of the tubes with suitable plugs.

Using long-nose pliers, squeeze the clamp securing the supply hose, slide the clamp along the hose and remove the hose from the pump outlet.
We close the holes of the hose and branch pipe with suitable plugs.

Unscrew the three bolts of the power steering pump pulley with a "12" ring wrench, keeping the pump shaft from turning with a "8" hexagon (for clarity, shown on a removed engine)…

…and remove the pulley.

Using a 12 mm socket, loosen the two bolts securing the pump body to the cylinder block…

…and we move the pump away from the cylinder block in order to make it possible to remove the upper timing belt cover.
Remove the upper timing belt cover (see Checking the condition and replacing the timing belt).
We completely unscrew the bolts securing the pump body... ...and remove it.
We install the power steering pump in the reverse order.
Remove air from the hydraulic system (see Bleeding the power steering system).
