The tension of the power steering pump drive belt is checked by deflecting the belt branch between the crankshaft and pump pulleys in its middle part. With a force of 100 N (10 kg s), the deflection value should be 10...12 mm.
The tension of the water pump drive belt is adjusted by moving the generator away from the engine with the nuts on the generator mounting bolts to the tension bar and to the generator bracket loosened.

The tension of the power steering pump drive belt is adjusted by moving the pump 7 (figure 2-60), away from the engine with the pump mounting bolts loosened.
