The work is shown on the left steering rod.
The right steering rod is removed in the same way.
Disconnect the outer end of the steering rod from the steering arm (see Replacing the outer tie rod end).
In the engine compartment we pry it up with a screwdriver..

…and remove the locking plate of the bolts securing the inner rod ends to the steering rack.

Using a 15 mm open-end wrench, unscrew the bolt securing the inner end of the left steering rod to the steering rack.
Loosen the tightening of the bolt securing the inner end of the right steering rod.

By turning the support plate around the axis of the bolt securing the right steering rod end, we release the inner end of the left steering rod and remove the washer.

We remove the left steering rod through the hole in the wheel well.
When replacing the inner tie rod end…

…we use a caliper to measure the distance between the ends of the inner tip and the hexagon of the adjusting screw.
You can also use a marker to mark the position of the tip on the adjustment screw or count the number of turns when unscrewing the tip.

Using a 12 mm open-end wrench, loosen the tightening bolt of the terminal connection of the inner tip with the adjusting screw…

…and using a 17 mm wrench, unscrew the adjusting screw from the inner tip (the thread on the right inner tip is right-handed, and on the left one is left-handed).
