First of all, it is necessary to take into account that both low beam headlights and fog lights are designed so as not to blind oncoming drivers. That is, they shine only on the road, but not in the eyes of others, while daytime running lights are not designed to illuminate the road, but specifically to make the car more visible, so they shine, although weaker, straight ahead.

Daytime running lights have another important advantage. They can use LEDs that emit white light. They are 80% more economical than low beams, and on a sunny day their white light is much more noticeable than the yellowish rays of incandescent lamps.
If your car is not equipped with daytime running lights, you can purchase them yourself and install them, following the requirements of their location diagram from the technical regulations. When connecting these lights to the vehicle's electrical system, remember that they should automatically turn off when the headlights are turned on - this is important because in the dark, daytime running lights can blind oncoming drivers!
