Running in a car (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

            0

Chevrolet Cruze cars are distinguished by high quality of manufacturing and materials used, so they are immediately ready for full operation and do not require special running-in. However, during the initial period of operation of the car (first 1000 km of run) intensive running-in of parts occurs. To increase the reliability, durability and economy of the car during its further operation and after major engine repairs, we recommend following the rules for operating the car.

1. Before each trip, check and, if necessary, adjust the air pressure in the tires to the correct level.

2. Do not operate the engine at high crankshaft speed (more than 4000 min⁻¹).

3. Shift to a lower gear in a timely manner, in accordance with road conditions, to avoid unwanted engine overloads.

4. To better break in the brake pads, try to avoid sudden braking.

5. Avoid driving in deep snow, sand, and mud whenever possible.

6. Do not tow a trailer and, if possible, try to avoid towing other vehicles.

7. Use a "soft" driving style, avoiding sudden acceleration, braking, and maneuvering.

8. Do not exceed the speed of 90 km/h even on downhill slopes.

9. Periodically check the tension of the accessory drive belt (generator, power steering pump and air conditioning compressor). During the initial period of operation, the belt may stretch most intensively.

10. Monitor the condition of all fasteners of the car and tighten them if necessary. Pay special attention to the fastening of the wheels, steering components, front and rear suspensions, exhaust pipes.

After the running-in period (1000 km), visit a service station for the first scheduled maintenance. In order for the warranty to remain valid, ask the service station employees to enter a note on the maintenance in the service book coupons.

After a mileage of 1000 km, the restrictions are lifted, but for the final running-in of engine parts, the car must travel approximately 3000 km.
