Running in a new car (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

To maintain high performance characteristics and extend the service life of the vehicle for the first few hundred kilometers, follow these recommendations:

• When starting off, do not press the accelerator pedal all the way down.
• Do not allow the engine to run at excessively high speeds.
• Try to avoid sudden braking, except in emergency situations. This will ensure normal running-in of the brake system components.
• To avoid engine damage and to save fuel, avoid sudden starts, acceleration and prolonged driving at high speed.
• When accelerating in low gears, do not press the accelerator pedal all the way down.
• Towing other vehicles is not permitted.
