The airbag must also be removed to access the horn switches and for any work involving removal of the steering wheel.
Before removing the airbag, disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery and wait at least 10 minutes for the airbag actuator capacitor to discharge.
We set the steering wheel to the position for straight-line movement of the car.
Using a screwdriver, remove the plug on the steering wheel.
Using the Torx "TR-50" key, unscrew the airbag mounting screw.
Similarly, unscrew the screw securing the cushion on the other side of the steering wheel.
We lift the retainer of the airbag wire block.
Disconnect the wiring harness from the airbag.
By pressing the connector lock, we disconnect the connector from the connector of the horn switches.

Do not disassemble or repair the airbag yourself.
We install the airbag in the reverse order.
