Removal the windshield wiper (Chevrolet Lanos T150)

We remove the windshield wiper to replace the failed motor-reducer and windshield wiper linkage rods.

Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.

We remove and move aside the expansion tank without disconnecting the hoses from it (see Removal the expansion tank).

We mark the position of the wiper blades on the windshield with a marker.

We assemble the windshield wiper in the reverse order.

To set the motor-reducer shaft to its original position, connect the wiring block to the motor-reducer.

Having put the wire terminal on the negative terminal of the battery, we turn on the gearmotor using the steering column switch, then turn it off and wait for the gearmotor shaft to stop.

In this position of the shaft, we install the crank according to the previously applied mark.

Further installation of the cleaner is carried out in the reverse order.

In this case, do not forget to put the plate back in place when installing the gear motor on the bracket.

The plate is necessary to improve the connection of the windshield wiper motor-reducer with the vehicle ground.
