Disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery.
We remove and move aside the expansion tank without disconnecting the hoses from it (see Removal the expansion tank).
We mark the position of the wiper blades on the windshield with a marker.
We pry it off with a screwdriver..
…and remove the protective cap.
Using a 13 mm socket or wrench, unscrew the brush lever mounting nut.
We remove the lever with the wiper brush from the shaft.
We remove the right lever in the same way.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the screws of the pins and remove the three pins securing the left windshield trim.
Similarly, we remove the fourth trim mounting pin.
We remove the seal.
We remove the left windshield trim.
Using a screwdriver, press the rod and disconnect it from the crank (for clarity, shown on a removed cleaner).
By pressing the block lock, we disconnect the block of wires from the gear motor.
Using a 10 mm socket head, unscrew the four motor-reducer mounting bolts.
We remove the wiper motor-reducer.
Using a 10 mm socket, unscrew the four nuts securing the wiper linkage.
We remove the wiper trapezoid from the engine compartment.
We mark the position of the crank relative to the motor-reducer bracket with a marker… …and use a 13 mm wrench to unscrew the crank mounting nut (shown in the photo by an arrow).
We remove the crank from the motor-reducer shaft.
We remove the motor-reducer seal.
Using a 10 mm socket head, unscrew the three motor-reducer mounting bolts.
We remove the bracket and the plate.
We assemble the windshield wiper in the reverse order.
To set the motor-reducer shaft to its original position, connect the wiring block to the motor-reducer.
Having put the wire terminal on the negative terminal of the battery, we turn on the gearmotor using the steering column switch, then turn it off and wait for the gearmotor shaft to stop.
In this position of the shaft, we install the crank according to the previously applied mark.
Further installation of the cleaner is carried out in the reverse order.
In this case, do not forget to put the plate back in place when installing the gear motor on the bracket.
The plate is necessary to improve the connection of the windshield wiper motor-reducer with the vehicle ground.
