Removal and installation the windshield wiper and washer switch (Chevrolet Lumina 1)

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Loosen the screw securing the switch located on the bottom of the instrument panel (see illustration).

3. Using a small screwdriver, carefully pry up the top outer corner of the switch to release the retaining clips and twist to remove the switch from the instrument panel (see illustration).

4. Remove the switch from the hole and use a small screwdriver to disconnect the electrical connector from it.

5. Connect the electrical connector to the switch, insert the tabs and, having installed the switch with a turn into the socket, press it until the clamps snap into place. Tighten the switch mounting screw.
