Replacing headlight bulbs (Chevrolet Lumina 1)

Please note: Halogen lamps are filled with gas; if possible, handle the lamp only by the base. Do not touch the surface of the lamp with your fingers: the presence of residual greasy marks will lead to overheating and premature failure of the lamp. Remove traces of grease and lubricant from the lamps with a cloth soaked in alcohol.


1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. After unscrewing the two plastic screws, turn the headlight housing forward to gain access to the bulbs (see illustration).

3. Carefully grasp the bulb holder, turn it counterclockwise and pull it out of the headlight (see illustration).

4. Pull the lamp out of the socket (see illustration).

5. The lamp is installed in the reverse order.
