Relay — General Information (Chevrolet Lumina 1)

A number of vehicle electrical systems use relays to switch on high-power consumers. If the relay fails, such a consumer will not work.

Various relays are combined into several groups located in different places of the car. Several relays are grouped in the engine compartment (see illustrations). Other relays that control the car's internal functions are mounted in the center under the dashboard on the right side behind the sound insulation (see illustration).

If you suspect that this relay is not working, remove it and have it checked by a workshop. The damaged relay is replaced entirely.
