Driver's airbag (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Disable the passive safety system (see section "Disabling and connecting the passive safety system").

2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.

3. Turn the steering wheel 90° to access the airbag mountings.



4. Insert a screwdriver into the hole and press the airbag mount.



5. Rotate the steering wheel 180° to access the other airbag mount.

6. Insert a screwdriver into the hole and press the airbag mount.



7. Lift the airbag up and detach it from the steering wheel.





8. Disconnect the airbag connector from the airbag.

9. Disconnect the connector from the steering wheel.

10. Disconnect the connector holder from the airbag connector.

Installation

11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

12. Connect the passive safety system (see section "Disabling and connecting the passive safety system").
