Driver and front passenger side airbag (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Disable the passive safety system (see section "Disabling and enabling the passive restraint system (SRS)").

2. Remove the front seat (see the "Body" chapter).

3. Remove the seat back trim.

4. Loosen the bolts (3) securing the side airbag (1) to the seat back base. Tightening torque:

• models before 2003 9 Nm
• models from 2003 onwards 10 Nm

5. Remove the side airbag holder.

6. Disconnect the wiring fastening clips from the seat back base (3).



7. Disconnect the wiring (2) from the backrest base (3).

8. Disconnect the connector from the side airbag.

9. Remove the side airbag.

Installation

10. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.



11. Connect the passive safety system (see section "Disabling and enabling the passive restraint system (SRS)").
