1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Warnings: Disconnect the battery before starting work. Attempting to check the air bag module electrical connector without disconnecting the power supply may result in unexpected air bag deployment.
The following operations for checking the airbag module electrical connector can be performed only after the activator capacitor has been completely discharged. To discharge the capacitor, it is necessary to wait at least 10 seconds after disconnecting the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Open the glove compartment.

3. Using two screwdrivers, disengage the glove box opening limiters from the stops on the instrument panel.

4. Squeeze the latch to release the lower end of the glove box damper.

5. Lower the glove box down...

6. ...and remove the axles of the two glove box hinges...

7. ...then remove it.

8. Check the reliability of the connection of the front passenger airbag module wiring harness connector.
9. Install all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
