Warning: To avoid personal injury from unauthorized activation of pyrotechnic charges, do not disassemble the system components yourself. However, during electrical and body repairs, the front passenger airbag module may interfere with work. If it is necessary to remove and install it, the work can be carried out independently, strictly adhering to the rules for operating the system:
- Disconnect the battery before starting work. Attempting to remove the airbag without turning off the power supply may cause the airbag to deploy unexpectedly;
- it is possible to proceed with the following operations to remove the airbag only after the activator capacitor is completely discharged. To discharge the capacitor, it is necessary after disconnecting the wire from the terminal «minus» battery, wait at least 10 seconds;
- Do not disassemble the airbag module;
- do not allow the airbag module to fall and get water, grease or oil on it;
- the airbag module removed from the vehicle must be stored on a flat horizontal surface with the module facing upwards;
- it is not allowed to expose the airbag module to temperatures above 95°C;
- when installing the module in a car, stay outside the airbag deployment area;
- When you turn on the ignition for the first time after installing the airbag module in the vehicle, be outside the vehicle.
