Checking the thickness of the front brake disc (Chevrolet Niva 1)

To assess the wear of the discs, it is necessary to remove the front wheels.

The thickness of the discs should be checked with a micrometer by measuring the thickness of the disc at four or more points around the circumference of the disc. All measurements should be made at the same distance from the edge of the disc to its center (figure 6-14).



If at least one measurement point the thickness is less than 9.5 mm, the disc must be replaced.
