Pipes are welded into both sides of the additional muffler.
The muffler is replaced with the pipes assembled.
To avoid burns, it is recommended to start work after the exhaust system has cooled down.
We separate the flanges of the pipes of the main and additional mufflers and remove the sealing gasket (see Replacing the main muffler).
Using a special penetrating liquid, wet the nuts that secure the flange of the additional muffler pipe to the flange of the intermediate pipe.

Using a 14 mm socket, unscrew the three nuts securing the flanges of the additional muffler pipes and the intermediate pipe.
We move the flange of the additional muffler pipe back, overcoming the resistance of the exhaust system suspension cushions..

…and remove the sealing gasket.
Using a screwdriver, pry up the additional muffler suspension cushion and remove the muffler bracket from the cushion opening.
Similarly, we remove the muffler bracket from the hole of the other cushion..

…and remove the additional muffler.
If the rubber cushions of the additional muffler suspension have lost their elasticity or are torn, replace them with new ones.
We install new gaskets in the flange joints of the main and additional mufflers and the intermediate pipe.
Further installation of the additional muffler is carried out in the reverse order.
