You will need: a 14 mm wrench, a flat-blade screwdriver.
1. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle (see "Replacing the fuel tank and its filler neck").

2. Unscrew the two nuts securing the flange of the additional muffler to the exhaust pipe. Disconnect the flanges of the exhaust pipe and the additional muffler (see Fig. "Replacing the inlet pipe").
Helpful Hint: Replace the sealing gasket between the flanges of the additional and main mufflers with a new one each time the joint is disassembled, as a tightly compressed gasket will not provide a reliable seal.

3. Use a screwdriver to slide the front part of the main muffler mounting cushion off the bracket on the body...

4. ...then from the muffler bracket.

5. ...and remove the pillow.
Note: Replace a badly worn cushion with a new one.
6. Similarly, replace the second mounting cushion of the rear part of the main muffler to the body.

7. Unscrew the nut securing the cushion to the body...

8. ...and use a screwdriver to remove the rear part of the main muffler suspension cushion from the bracket.

9. Remove the main and additional mufflers from the vehicle.
10. Install the muffler in the reverse order of removal.
