Removal the vehicle speed sensor (Chevrolet Lanos T150)

We remove the vehicle speed sensor for inspection and replacement, as well as for gearbox repair. Checking the vehicle speed sensor is shown in the section Troubleshooting. Access to the sensor is from above, from the engine compartment.



Location of the speed sensor

With the ignition off…



…by pressing the locking device of the engine management system wiring harness connector…



…disconnect the wiring harness connector from the speed sensor.





Using a 27 mm head, unscrew the speed sensor counterclockwise..



… and remove the speed sensor.

We install the speed sensor in the reverse order.



In this case, the sensor tail must enter the hole in the drive shaft.
