Bleeding the clutch hydraulic drive (Chevrolet Lanos T150)

            0

We bleed the clutch hydraulic drive to remove air from it after depressurization when replacing the master or slave cylinder of the clutch, tube, hose, as well as when removing or replacing the master brake cylinder or reservoir.

Before pumping, check the fluid level in the tank.

Add liquid if necessary.

The clutch hydraulic fluid reservoir is shared with the brake system hydraulic fluid reservoir and is installed on the master brake cylinder.

The reservoir is connected to the clutch master cylinder via a hose.

Remove the protective cap from the bleed nipple of the working cylinder.

We put a 10 mm open-end wrench on the hexagon of the fitting and a hose on the tip of the fitting, the end of which we lower into a container partially filled with brake fluid.

Slowly press the clutch pedal several times.

With the clutch pedal pressed, unscrew the bleed nipple by 1/2–3/4 of a turn.

In this case, some of the brake fluid and air are forced into the container.

Air bubbles are clearly visible in a container with liquid.

When removing air from the system, we check the liquid level in the tank and add liquid if necessary.

We tighten the nipple and repeat this operation until the release of air bubbles from the hose stops.

The stroke of the working cylinder rod should be ~15 mm.

We remove the hose and put a protective cap on the fitting.
