Bleeding the Clutch Hydraulic Drive (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

This procedure is designed to remove air that has entered the system after disconnecting the hydraulic drive tubes during repairs. The level of fluid for the clutch hydraulic drive system in the reservoir during air removal should not be below the MIN mark.

1. Place a rubber tube on the bleed nipple. Place the other end of the tube in a transparent container half filled with clutch fluid.



2. Slowly depress the clutch pedal several times.

3. While pressing the clutch pedal, slowly unscrew the nipple so that the liquid starts to flow out through the tube. Tighten the nipple.

4. Repeat step 3 until no more bubbles come out of the tube.

5. Add liquid to the tank to the required level.
