Concentric working cylinder (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure



1. Remove the gearbox from the vehicle. See Section 5B, "Five-Speed Manual Transmission".

2. Remove the bolts securing the concentric clutch release cylinder.

2. Remove the bolts securing the concentric clutch release cylinder.


3. Disconnect the tube from the concentric clutch release cylinder.

3. Disconnect the tube from the concentric clutch release cylinder.


Important: Do not apply excessive force to the bushing when removing it.


4. Remove the bushing from the concentric working cylinder tube.

5. Remove the concentric clutch release cylinder tube.

5. Remove the concentric clutch release cylinder tube.


6. Remove the O-ring and concentric clutch release cylinder.



6. Remove the O-ring and concentric clutch release cylinder.


Installation procedure



1. Install the sealing ring and concentric slave cylinder.

1. Install the sealing ring and concentric slave cylinder.


2. Fit the hydraulic tube fitting and tighten the cylinder mounting bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the clutch release cylinder mounting bolts to 8~12 N·m (71~106 lb-in).

3. Tighten the hydraulic tube fitting.

Tighten

Tighten the nipple to a torque of 16 Nm (12 ft·lbs).

Tighten the nipple to a torque of 16 Nm (12 ft·lbs).


4. Install the bushing onto the concentric working cylinder tube.



5. Install the gearbox into the vehicle. See Section 5B, "Five-Speed Manual Transmission".
