Clutch pedal — removal and installation (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure



1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the nut and pedal axle.

3. Disconnect the return spring from the clutch pedal bracket.

3. Disconnect the return spring from the clutch pedal bracket.


4. Remove the retaining clip from the clutch pedal.

5. Remove the push rod from the clutch pedal.

6. Remove the clutch pedal.

6. Remove the clutch pedal.


Installation procedure



1. Install the clutch pedal.

2. Lubricate the pusher with general purpose grease.

3. Insert the push rod into the clutch pedal.

4. Install the locking bracket onto the clutch pedal.

4. Install the locking bracket onto the clutch pedal.


5. Lubricate the pedal axle with general purpose grease.



6. Secure the return spring to the pedal bracket.

7. Install the nut and pedal axle.

Tighten

Tighten the pedal axle nut to 18 Nm (13 ft·lbs).

8. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
