Air conditioning system diagnostics (Chevrolet Niva 1)

This guide is designed to diagnose and effectively eliminate the most common possible malfunctions of the air conditioning system installed in a vehicle.

The diagnosis is based on the current pressure readings in the air conditioning system. If the readings are outside the ranges given in Table 8-3 (pressure reading reference table), the system is probably faulty.

Below are the most likely causes of malfunctions identified based on the pressure readings of the low or high pressure gauge. The figure shows a pressure gauge reading with a significant deviation from the norm.
