Removal and installation the rear window wiper (Chevrolet Niva 1)

Repair of the wiper mainly consists of straightening the levers or replacing them with new ones. It is recommended to replace a faulty gear motor with a new one. Of the repairs to the gear motor, only replacement of the gear reducer gear, cleaning of the collector and adjustment of the limit switch are allowed.

To remove the cleaner:
  • unscrew the fastening nut;
  • remove the rubber cap;
  • remove the brush with the lever;
  • unscrew the fastening nut;
  • open the tailgate;
  • unscrew the cap and remove the lining of the glass washer reservoir neck;
  • unscrew the four self-tapping screws and remove the upper middle trim of the tailgate;
  • remove two trims, unscrew two screws, remove left and right trims of the rear door;
  • remove the rear door trim, overcoming the force of the plastic buttons;
  • disconnect the windshield wiper motor wiring harness connector;
  • unscrew the three nuts and washers and remove the gear motor.

If necessary, remove the gear motor from the bracket on the workbench.

Install the cleaner in the reverse order of removal.
