Repair of the connector
Attention! The Airbag Inflator system (SIR) must be deactivated before any repairs can be made. For instructions on how to disable the inflatable airbag system, see chapter "Disabling the airbag system" in this section.
The contacts of the inflatable airbag system (SIR) are made of a special metal that provides the reliable contact required for sensitive low-voltage circuits. Do not repair the connectors of the airbag inflator system (SIR). Replace damaged connectors with new ones.
Wiring repair

Do not repair the wires of the Airbag Inflator system (SIR). Replace damaged wires with new ones.
