The set of anti-theft system includes two ignition keys, in the heads of which special encoding devices are built - transponders. One ignition key with a completely black head is a working key, it disarms the anti-theft system and is recommended for everyday driving. Another ignition key with a black head has a red insert at the end - this is a training key, it, like the working key, disarms the anti-theft system and allows the engine to be started, but, unlike the working key, it has an additional learning function. This key is used to activate the anti-theft system and learn new working keys. In total, two working keys can be trained.
In case of replacement of a faulty anti-theft system or engine control controller using a learning key, the system's operability is restored. The anti-theft system is disarmed when turned on, and armed when the ignition is turned off.
Attention. Due to the importance of the learning key, it should not be used for everyday travel; you need to keep it in a safe place at home. If the learning key is lost, warranty obligations for the quality of the anti-theft system and the engine control controller are not accepted.
The anti-theft system has a special indication in the control lamp unit, which turns on in the following cases:
1. If the anti-theft system is not activated and the security mode is not turned on, then after turning on the ignition, the indicator turns on for 15 seconds, and then goes out. Please contact your dealer «GM-AVTOVAZ» to activate it.
2. If, after turning on the ignition, the indicator flashes for 15 seconds and then goes out, and the system emits sound signals, then the anti-theft system is faulty and you should contact your CJSC dealer «GM - AVTOVAZ» to troubleshoot.
3. When using the learning key, the indicator flashes for 6 seconds each time the ignition is turned off.
Attention. To ensure stable reading of the ignition key code by the anti-theft system, it is not allowed to mount two or more ignition keys on one ring.
