The anti-theft system kit includes two ignition keys, the heads of which have special encoding devices built in - transponders. One ignition key with a completely black head is a working key, it removes the anti-theft system from protection, and it is recommended to use it for everyday trips. The other ignition key with a black head has a red insert on the end - this is a training key, it, like the working key, removes the anti-theft system from protection and allows the engine to start, but, unlike the working key, has an additional training function. This key is used to activate the anti-theft system and teach new working keys. In total, two working keys can be taught.
In case of replacement of a faulty anti-theft system or engine control controller, the system is restored to working order using a training key. The anti-theft system is disarmed when turned on, and armed when the ignition is turned off.
Caution: Due to the importance of the training key, it should not be used for daily driving; it is necessary to keep it at home in a safe place. In case of loss of the training key, warranty obligations for the quality of the anti-theft system and the engine control controller are not accepted.
The anti-theft system has a special indicator in the control lamp block, which is switched on in the following cases:
1. If the anti-theft system is not activated and the security mode is not on, then after turning on the ignition the indicator turns on for 15 seconds and then goes out. You should contact the dealer of ZAO GM-AVTOVAZ to activate it.
2. If after turning on the ignition the indicator flashes for 15 seconds and then goes out, and the system produces sound signals, then the anti-theft system is faulty and you should contact the dealer of ZAO GM - AVTOVAZ to eliminate the fault.
3. When using the learning key, the indicator flashes for 6 seconds each time the ignition is turned off.
Attention: To ensure reliable reading of the ignition key code by the anti-theft system, do not attach two or more ignition keys to one ring.
