Extreme working conditions
Extreme operating conditions are defined as those conditions where the vehicle is frequently required to operate in at least one of the following modes:
- Frequent short distance travel (less than 10 km).
- Idling for long periods of time and/or driving at low speeds in traffic jams.
- Driving on dirt roads.
- Driving in hilly or mountainous terrain.
- Driving with a trailer.
- Driving in heavy city traffic with outside temperatures regularly reaching 32°C or higher.
- Using a vehicle as a taxi, police vehicle or delivery vehicle.
- Frequent operation at outside temperatures below freezing.
Police cars, taxis and training vehicles are also considered to operate in extreme conditions.
When operating under extreme conditions, some routine maintenance may be required at shorter than scheduled intervals.
Please seek technical advice on vehicle maintenance requirements under specific operating conditions.
