Motor oil
Motor oils are characterized by quality and viscosity grade. The terms "quality" and "performance" are equivalent in this context. When choosing a motor oil, quality is more important than viscosity. Oil quality affects engine cleanliness, wear protection, and oil aging rate; oil viscosity indicates the stability of oil properties when temperature changes.
Selecting motor oil
The choice of motor oil depends on the required performance characteristics of the oil and its SAE viscosity grade.
Buy and use motor oils with the dexos2 certification logo. The motor oils used in your vehicle must be labeled dexos2.

This logo indicates that the oil has been tested by GM to meet the dexos2 specification.
Your vehicle is factory filled with dexos2 compliant engine oil.
Use only dexos approved oils or equivalent oils of the appropriate viscosity grade.
If you are unsure of the quality of the oil you are using, please contact your supplier.
Use of replacement motor oils if dexos2b oil is not available unavailable dexos2 approved motor oil other oils can be used to top up to the required level in the quantities specified above. However, the use of such oils may result in a reduction in engine power under certain conditions.
Topping up engine oil
If motor oils of different manufacturers and brands meet the requirements established for motor oil (by quality and viscosity), they can be mixed.
In the absence of engine oil of the required quality, no more than 1 liter of oil of class ACEA A3/B3 (petrol), ACEA A3/B4 or ACEA C3 (diesel) can be used (no more than once per oil change).
The oil must have the appropriate viscosity.
It is strictly forbidden to use ACEA A1/B1 or A5/B5 class oil, as this may cause serious engine damage under certain operating conditions.
Motor oil additives
Using motor oil additives may cause damage and void your warranty.
Viscosity grade of motor oil
SAE viscosity characterizes the thickness of the oil.
Universal oil is designated by two numbers: The first number, followed by the letter W, indicates low-temperature viscosity, the second - high-temperature.

The optimal oil viscosity for your car is SAE 5W-30. Do not use oils with other viscosity, such as SAE 10W-30, 10W-40 or 20W-50.
Operation at low temperatures
When operating the vehicle in a region with a very cold climate, where the temperature regularly drops below -25°C, oil with a viscosity of SAE 0W-xx should be used.
Using oil of this viscosity makes it easier to start the engine at very low temperatures.
When selecting oil of the required viscosity, be sure to check whether the oil meets the dexos2 specification.
- Up to -25°C: 5W-30, 5W-40.
- Up to -25°C and below: 0W-30, 0W-40.
SAE viscosity provides information about the thickness of the oil.
Coolant and antifreeze
Use only organic acid based long life (LLC) antifreezes.
In countries with a moderate climate, the operating temperature range of the coolant extends to approximately -35°C.
In countries with cold climates, the operating temperature range of the coolant should extend to approximately -50°C. The appropriate concentration must be maintained all year round.
Maintain sufficient antifreeze concentration.
Supplemental coolant additives that provide additional corrosion protection or seal small leaks may impair engine performance. The vehicle manufacturer is not responsible for the results of using coolant additives.
Brake fluid
Use only brake fluid officially approved for this vehicle (DOT 4).
Over time, brake fluid accumulates moisture, which reduces braking efficiency. Therefore, brake fluid should be replaced at specified intervals.
To prevent brake fluid from absorbing moisture, it should be stored in a sealed container.
Make sure the brake fluid is not contaminated.
Power steering fluid
Use only Dexron VI fluid.
Oil for manual transmission
Use only Castrol BOT 303 oil.
Automatic transmission fluid
Use only Dexron VI fluid.
Transfer case oil (all wheel drive vehicle)
Use only 75W-90 hypoid gear oil.
Differential oil (all wheel drive vehicle)
Use only 75W-90 hypoid gear oil.
