Checking the battery charge level (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

            0

If during operation there are difficulties with starting the engine, check the state of charge of the battery by the density of the electrolyte or the voltage at its terminals in an unloaded state (table 10.4). To check the specific gravity of the electrolyte, use a hydrometer or a commercially available float indicator for the specific gravity of the electrolyte. The voltage at the battery terminals can be measured with any DC voltmeter with a measurement limit of 20 V.

If the battery charge level is 75% or lower, the battery must be removed from the vehicle and charged using a charger.

Table 10.4. Parameters for checking the state of charge of the battery

Voltage at terminals, V12,6512,4512,2412,0611,80
Electrolyte density, g/cm³1,271,231,201,171,12
