1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the decorative engine cover (see "Removal and installation the decorative engine cover").
3. Remove the throttle assembly (see "Removal and installation the throttle assembly"),
4. Remove the accessory drive belt (see "Replacement of auxiliary drive belt").
5. Remove the rubber cap from the generator power cable tip, unscrew the nut and disconnect the cable from the generator terminal.
6. Press the lock and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the generator.
7. Unscrew the upper generator mounting stud.
8. Loosen the nut of the generator lower mounting bolt.
9. Remove the three bolts securing the lower generator bracket to the engine cylinder block...
10. ...and remove the generator with the bracket (for clarity, shown on an engine removed from a car).
11. Finally, unscrew the nut of the generator lower mounting bolt and remove the generator from the bracket.
12. Install the removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
