Generator — removal and installation (Chevrolet Tahoe 1)

1. Disconnect the battery from ground.

2. Disconnect the wires from the generator.

3. Remove the drive belt.

4. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the generator (see photo).

4. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the generator (see photo).

5. The new generator must fully correspond to the removed unit in terms of terminal arrangement, dimensions and shape of the housing, as well as the numbers on the housing or on the plate.

6 Installation is carried out in reverse order. After completion, check the tension of the drive belt.
