The battery charging system includes a generator with a built-in voltage regulator, a charge indicator lamp, a battery, a fusible link and wires. The generator is driven by a belt at the front of the engine.
Vehicles are fitted with SI and CS generators. The type of generator installed on your car can be determined by fastening the parts of the generator body to each other; in the CS generator, the body parts are fastened with rivets or special bolts (non-separable construction), in the generator with SI screws.
