The battery charging system consists of a generator with a built-in voltage regulator, a charge indicator lamp, a battery, a fusible link, and wires. The generator is driven by a belt at the front of the engine.
Generators of the SI and CS types are installed on cars. The type of generator installed on your car can be determined by the fastening of the generator housing parts to each other; in the CS generator, the housing parts are fastened with rivets or special bolts (non-separable design), in the generator with SI screws.
