Ignition system — check (Chevrolet Tahoe 1)

1. The ignition system is checked when the lamp with the inscription starts to light when the ignition is turned on "Service engine soon".

2. When checking the ignition system, inspect the wires and their connections, measure the voltage of the secondary winding using a special reference spark gap, check the integrity of the primary and secondary winding circuits of the ignition coil using an ohmmeter (see photo). The voltage at the output of the ignition coil must be at least 25 kV.



3. Remove the spark plugs and check their condition.
