Direct Ignition System (DIS) (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the direct ignition system (DIS) connector.

3. Mark the position of the ignition wires and remove the ignition wires.



4. Loosen the direct ignition system mounting bolts.

5. Remove the direct ignition system.

Installation procedure

1. Install the direct ignition system in the mounting location and install the mounting bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the direct ignition system mounting bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb-in).



2. Connect the direct ignition system connector.



3. Install ignition wires.

4. Connect the negative battery cable.
