Electromagnetic valve for purging the adsorber of the SUPB (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure



1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the connector of the Evaporative Emissions Canister Purge Solenoid Valve.

3. Disconnect the vacuum hoses from the Evaporative Emissions Canister Purge Solenoid Valve.

4. Unscrew the bracket bolt of the electromagnetic valve for purging the EGR canister from the intake manifold.

5. Unhook the SUPB adsorber purge solenoid valve from the mounting bracket.

5. Unhook the SUPB adsorber purge solenoid valve from the mounting bracket.


Installation procedure



1. Attach the Evaporative Coolant Bleed Solenoid Valve to the mounting bracket.

2. Install the Evaporative Canister Purge Solenoid Valve and mounting bracket onto the intake manifold using the bolt.

Tighten

Tighten the Evaporative Canister Purge Solenoid Valve bracket bolt to 5 N·m (44 lb-in).

3. Connect the vacuum hoses to the Evaporative Emissions Canister Purge Solenoid Valve.

4. Connect the connector of the electromagnetic valve of the SUPB adsorber.

5. Connect the negative battery cable.
