Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Disconnect the EGR valve connector.

3. Remove the EGR valve mounting bolts.

4. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve and remove the gasket from the EGR valve adapter.

Installation procedure

1. Clean the mating surface of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve adapter.

2. Install a new EGR valve gasket.



3. Install the EGR valve together with the bolt.

Tighten

Tighten the EGR valve mounting bolts to 30 N·m (22 lb-ft)

4. Connect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve connector.

5. Connect the negative battery cable.
