Failure of the adsorber purge solenoid valve can cause unstable engine operation at idle, increased exhaust gas toxicity, and reduced fuel efficiency.

By pulling the rubber tip of the tube connecting the valve to the adsorber, we remove the tip of the tube from the valve fitting.

From the other nipple of the electromagnetic valve, we remove the tip of the tube connecting the valve to the intake manifold.

With the ignition off, press the locking lever of the engine management system wiring harness connector…

…disconnect the engine management system wiring harness connector from the valve connector.

We remove the engine oil pressure sensor wire retainer from the valve bracket hole.

Using a 12 mm socket head, unscrew the bolt securing the valve bracket to the generator bracket…

…and remove the bracket together with the valve (the arrow indicates the valve retainer in the bracket).
By prying the retainer, we remove the valve from the bracket.
We install the electromagnetic valve for purging the adsorber in the reverse order.
