Exhaust Gas Recirculation Vacuum Solenoid Valve (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal/installation procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the decorative cover. See Section 1B, "Engine Mechanical System - 2.0 Diesel".

3. Disconnect the EGR vacuum solenoid valve inlet/outlet hoses.

4. Disconnect the EGR vacuum solenoid valve connector.

5. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation vacuum solenoid valve.

Tighten

Tighten the exhaust gas recirculation solenoid vacuum valve mounting bolts to 7 Nm (62 lbs.in).
