Removal



Early models



1. Raise the vehicle and place safety posts under the frame.

2. Disconnect the purge valve connector (1).

2. Disconnect the purge valve connector (1).


3. Disconnect the quick connector (1) from the valve tube.

3. Disconnect the quick connector (1) from the valve tube.


4. Release the valve wires from the support clip.

5. Press the valve mounting latch (2).

6. Slide the valve off the bracket and remove the valve.

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Late models



1. Raise the vehicle and place safety posts under the frame.

2. Disconnect the connector (1) of the fuel vapor canister purge valve.

3. Disconnect the purge valve tube (1) from the fuel vapor accumulator.

4. (Series 1500) Disconnect the fuel filler neck pipe connector (3) from the purge valve.

4. (Series 1500) Disconnect the fuel filler neck pipe connector (3) from the purge valve.


(Series 2500) Disconnect the fuel vapor canister purge tube from the valve.

5. Unclip the retainer (1) securing the purge valve to the bracket.

6. Remove the purge valve.

Installation



7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
