Fuel vapor canister purge valve (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal



Early models



1. Remove the top engine cover.

2. Disconnect the fuel vapor recovery system tube from the valve.

3. Disconnect the valve connector (1).

3. Disconnect the valve connector (1).


4. Loosen the valve mounting bolt (2). Tightening torque 10 Nm.

4. Loosen the valve mounting bolt (2). Tightening torque 10 Nm.


5. Remove the valve (3) and seal (1).

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Late models



1. Remove the air filter outlet duct.

2. Disconnect the fuel vapor recovery system tube from the fuel vapor canister purge valve.

2. Disconnect the fuel vapor recovery system tube from the fuel vapor canister purge valve.


3. Disconnect the valve connector (2).



3. Disconnect the valve connector (2).


4. Disengage the retainer securing the fuel vapor canister purge valve to the fuel manifold.

5. Remove the valve.

5. Remove the valve.


Installation



6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
