2. Mark the spark plug wire terminal of cylinder 1 (if there are no terminal numbers on the distributor cap).
3. Remove the distributor cap, turn the crankshaft so that the tip of the runner is opposite the terminal of the spark plug wire of the 1st cylinder (see Chapter 2).
4. Mark the position of the runner on the distributor housing (see photo). Mark the position of the distributor relative to the cylinder block (see photo).

5. Loosen the bolt and remove the ignition distributor.
Attention! When the ignition distributor is removed, turning the crankshaft is not allowed.
Attention! If the crankshaft was turned after removing the distributor, the piston of the 1st cylinder should again be set to TDC of the compression stroke. Turn the crankshaft until you feel compression in the spark plug hole of the 1st cylinder.
6. Install the distributor according to the marks made before removal.
7. To engage the gears on the camshaft and distributor, turn the runner slightly. Recheck the alignment of the marks on the distributor housing and on the cylinder block.
8. Tighten the distributor plate mounting bolt, install the cover and connect the wires.
