Replacing the generator pulley (Chevrolet Cruze J300)

You will need: a 24 mm wrench, an 8 mm Allen key, a welding clamp or sliding cobra pliers.

1. Remove the generator from the vehicle (see "Removal and installation the generator").



2. Holding the generator shaft with a hex key, unscrew the pulley mounting nut...



3. ...and remove the pulley from the shaft.

4. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.



Note: You can secure the generator pulley when loosening the mounting nut by clamping it in a vice through an old belt.
