
The battery is located in the engine compartment on the left.

1. Pull the hood release handle and open the hood.

2. Loosen the tightening nut of the end cap clamp bolt...

3. ...and disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

4. Unfasten the fasteners...

5. ...and open the cover of the protective casing of the power fuse box.

6. Loosen the tightening nut of the power cable end clamp bolt...

7. ...and disconnect the wire from the positive terminal of the battery.

8. Unscrew the nut.

9. ...and disconnect the starter power cable.

10. Unscrew the nut...

11. ...and disconnect the wire from the fuse and relay mounting block located in the engine compartment.

12. Press the latch.

13. ...and remove the power fuse block from the battery.

14. Unscrew the fastening nut.

15. ...and remove the battery pressure plate.

16. Press the latch...

17. ...and remove the wall of the battery protective casing.

18. Remove the battery from the engine compartment.
19. Install the battery in the reverse order of removal. Before connecting the wires, clean the battery terminals and the inside surfaces of the wire ends with fine-grained sandpaper. Connect the wires in the reverse order of removal, observing polarity. After connecting the wires to the terminals, apply a thin layer of petroleum jelly or similar to the wire ends and exposed surfaces of the terminals (copper-containing conductive lubricants are most preferred).
