The electrolyte level in all battery cells must be between the lines marked "MIN" and "MAX" on the translucent body of the battery. It is not allowed to operate the battery with the electrolyte level below the line marked "MIN".
If there are no "MIN" and "MAX" marks on the battery case, the electrolyte level should be 10-15 mm above the upper edge of the separators.
During battery operation, the electrolyte level gradually decreases as the water contained in it evaporates. To restore the electrolyte level, add only distilled water.
If it is determined that the low level is due to splashing, then add electrolyte of the same density as the one remaining in the battery cell.
If the level is above normal, remove excess electrolyte using a rubber bulb with an ebonite tip.
